Escola de Minas Students Seek Financial Support to Expand Knowledge About Bioenergy and Circular Energy Developed in Brazil

The team, made up of a professor, 5 undergraduate students and 4 postgraduate students, all from the UFOP School of Mines, will present well-known research involving topics relating to sustainability such as circular economy, bioenergy, decarbonization in the steel industry, processing of Ni-Ti alloys and comparison of two bioplastic production routes.

All research will be presented by the researchers themselves, as well as in English as it is an international conference. On the occasion, professor Paulo Assis, from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (DEMET), at the Escola de Minas, will also be honored by naming the symposium on the sustainable production of iron and steel “ASSIS INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM On Advanced Sustainable Iron & Steel Making.

Brazilian researchers, however, are also looking for financial support to be able to travel. The team, which will be attended by 5 WOMEN SCIENTISTS, needs to provide resources for air tickets and transportation to the event, since it will be held outside Brazil.
